First Step Foundation

The First Step Foundation was established in 2005 as the fundraising arm of the First Step organization.  All funds raised will be used to benefit First Step’s entire organization and help continue making a positive difference in your community.

First Step is grateful for the continuing support of our partners. It is through the generosity of our partners that we are able to offer a wide variety of programs and services to individuals with developmental delays and disabilities. First Step is a nonprofit organization, operating under 501C3 designation.

All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.  Please contact your accountant or financial advisor for information about your particular donation.

Matching Funds
Many employers provide matching funds programs. Their matching funds may double or even triple your gift. Check with your employer to learn if this program is available. We will gladly acknowledge receipt of your gift and complete any necessary paperwork for your employer.

Memorial or Honors Program (click to download form)
Give a gift in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person on their special occasion. Complete and submit this form. Your honoree, or in the case of a memorial gift, a designated family member, will receive an acknowledgement. The amount of your gift will not be designated. You will receive a card of appreciation and a receipt. Your memorial/honors gift may also be mailed to the address at the top of this page.

Do you want to give a monetary gift on an ongoing basis? Would it be more convenient to give a small gift every month than a large one-time gift? We will be happy to charge your credit card each month for the amount you specify. Contact our office at (501) 624-6468 for assistance in starting your recurring tax deductible gift.

Do you have a car, boat/trailer or other vehicle you can’t use? Why not donate it to First Step? Complete and submit this form or call our office at (501) 624-6468. A representative of the national Donate a Car program will contact you within a few days.

Planned Giving (click to get more information)
First Step, Inc. gladly accepts gifts from Wills and Bequests. Individuals may choose to name First Step as a recipient of a bequest for either a specific amount or a percentage of a residual estate. By naming First Step as a beneficiary of your estate, you can ensure your continuing support of our programs and services and still provide for your family. Speak with your attorney or financial advisor to determine if this option is right for you.

How many cell phones and ink cartridges does your household or organization use every month or every year? Bring your old cell phones and used ink cartridges to First Step for recycling… good for you and good for the environment.
